This is a sketch of a well known D-9 that was found at the Rhein-Main airfield in Frankfurt at the end of the war in Mid 1945. It is depicted here in late 1945.

This was the 'mount' of the JG4 Geschwader staff Flight officer, Major Beim (Stab).

This piece is set on the Russian front during the early Autumn offensive on Stalingrad in 1942.  An Me 109 G2 from JG3 has 'bellied - in' on the vast Russian step and the pilot waits for a pick-up from a circling Fi 156 Storch. He looks at the setting sun and thanks lady luck that he survived another day.

This is a Set on the Eastern front during the last offensive  in Hungary , to recapture Budapest.  By the 7th March the third attack by the IV SS Panzer Corps had got to within 24 Km of the capital but had been stopped there.
